VIC Sites

The following institutions have licensed the VIC system.


The Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Under the direction of Marcus Law, Academic Lead for Education Technology for the Faculty, VIC cases will be an important part of the education strategy for the Faculty.


The Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, Western University, London, Ontario, Canada

Under the direction of Dr. Peter Flanagan, Director, eLearning Strategic Technology Commons, The Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry has acquired a license for VIC. Initial cases will be developed by Dr. Amer Burhan, Geriatric Neurophychiatrist, for teaching the assessment of movement disorders.


Hypertension Canada, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Under the direction of Dr. Sheldon Tobe, VIC cases will be incorporated into the Hypertension Canada Professional Education program.


George Brown College School of Nursing, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Under the direction of Professors Julie Gaudet and Charene Wood, VIC cases will be incorporated into the Collaborative Nursing Degree Program.


Sunnybrook Health Science Centre, Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Under the direction of the Sunnybrook Education Advisory Council, VIC will be incorporated into our academic health sciences centre teaching and learning practices. For more information contact education.technology@sunnybrook.ca


Center for Addiction and Mental Health, Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Under the direction of Dr. Peter Selby and Dr. Marcus Law, VIC will be incorporated into a project to create virtual patients for teaching about Early Brain & Biological Development and Addictions funded by the Association of Faculties of Medicine of Canada.


Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences, Toronto, ON, Canada

Under the direction of Jordan Holmes, Coordinator, Centre for the Advancement of Simulation and Education, a license for VIC has been acquired by the Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences.
